Forest Fires the good and Bad!

Good

The good things about Forest Fires are it could help some trees and plants, like the a group of western shrubs known as Ceanothus. It is very dependant on fire. The reproduction of Jackpine, Lodgepole pine, and some other evergreens depends partyly on Forest Fires. In time, a fire releases out of them about a tempature of 122 degrees Farenheit. Fire also burns away all or most of the leaves and other natural litter.. Also many seedlings grow from such exposed seedbed than the surface covered with a deep layer of leaves. The cones of the jack pine tree, for instance, will not release their seeds unless exposed to intense heat. Sequoia or Douglas fir trees grow best in open sunlight areas, such as those cleared by fire.

Bad

It can kill animals and it would destroy their habitats. It can burn valuable timber. Sometimes lightning would start the fire but mostly human would start a fire accidently or purposely.

Cst and Laptop

I got on the laptop but it took very long anyways, I'm nervous about the Cst. Whenever I take a always have a brain freeze. So that's what I think about the CST...

Elf Owl

The Elf Owl is the smallest owl in the world. Only one other owl, in a small region of Peru, is close to this tiny. its small size, desert habitat and nocturnal nature make it easily distinguished from any other owl. The Elf Owl is only 5 1/2 inches long. it has yellow eyes and a very short tail.The Elf Owl can be readily found in desert lowlands and in canyons, especially in oaks and sycamores; it is fairly common in foothills. It breeds in southeastern California, southern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico, and Rio Grande Valley of Texas.It winters in Mexico. It is exclusively nocturnal and roosts and nests in cavities in saguaros and trees. Its call is an irregular series of high churp's and chattering notes. When the Elf owl is captured it like to play dead like a opposom,It feeds almost exclusively on insects, catching them in the air or on the ground. It will also eat mice and lizards.

My Persuasive Pargraphs

What I will be explaining to you will be why we should save the rain forest. Why, I'm stating this opinion is because I think the rain forest is important and it's important to the animals that live in there. Also if we cut down all the tree where would the animals go? Oxygen will also leave us. I think some of my reasons are actually true some are probably detesting what I'm saying and think this is bogus. But I really think we should help save the rain forest.
Some of the animals in there are losing their homes like lemurs, monkeys, indris, birds, etc...
Where once hills were covered with trees, but now only grasslands are left. Bisons once roamed praires of North America in vast numbers. But now today, only a few are left. Now in the madagascar, Indruis survive in the remaining patches on the trees in Madasgascar. The destruction of wildlife is going all around in the world. Also some of the animals that live in there are: chimpanzees, gorillas, gibbons, and most monkey species; tigers,and jaguars; nocturnal bush babies and lorises; and the most beautiful birds, from humming birds and parrots to birds of paradise. Also there are many reptiles.
When the trees are gone , the soil had nothing to feed on and will become loose and sandy. Later it will be eroded and washed away by the heavy tropical storms. Erosion is one of the most greatest threst to farmland. As water carries the soil away, it forms an channel and it gets deeper and deeper until the reach the underlying rock. Also as the soilwould drift into the seas and rivers it would form silt and increase the risk of floods.
That's what I think what would be good for our community. Also how it we help and stop doing something if it's wrong.

Persuasive commercial

Persuasive commercials are when they tell you NOT to smoke nor drink. They would say it would hurt you and they always make it look BAD. They would make it seem other kids would do it and later they would regret it. Also in the end of the commercial they would always say be ABOVE the influence. They also would say stuff that would affect you, like your grades, your family etc.... When they drink stuff would happen like you would get into a car accident. your family would get hurt. How it would have affect on us would be like we would be like oh my gosh I wouldn't want that to happen to my family and it would persuade us with rewards and stuff. Also they use other kids to show what would happen to us. They would make the kids pretend to smoke and drink and the affect that would be bestowed up one them. While when other kids ask want to smoke? Another kids says no I'm okay. Then in the end it says be above the influence. Also when they talk about smoking you shouldn't and they would show what would happen to make us freak out but also it's a good thing for us not too. =) That's what I think some of the commercials as in this one would do.

P.S. This is my worst blog thingymajiggy I ever did, my worst project ever!!!!!!

What would I do?

Question: What would you do in Callie's situation?

Answer: What I would do is I probably wouldn't tell on Dawn so I can still have her trust and respect but what I would do is go to another family member like a another sister or brother and tell her, her situation.

Question: How does Dawn defend herself from drinking?

Answer: She defends heself by saying that it's her parents fault for not being home all the time and that she is bored.

Question: What do I think of Callie's response?

Answer: I think that it's right for Callie to say that to Dawn and because Dawn shouldn't be drinkng in the fist place.

Question: What should their parents do?

Answer: I think their parents should speak to Dawn and also Callie so she wouldn't make the same mistake as her sister did.

That's what I think should happen!

Protecting Wildlife

Someways to protect the wildlife or the enviroment is you can recycle, help animals in need etc.... In my opinion Global Warming is causing us trouble and animals. At every level of government, there are people taking a stand and demanding a better plan for America - one that encourages a sustainable future for people and wildlife. Our every day actions can make a difference to reduce global warming.
Every day, we each make choices that impact the earth's climate - and the future health and security of the world we all share. The actions we each take will determine whether or not we succeed in the fight against global warming. Also if we make an effort it will help us save money, reduce the chance of catastrophes such as wild fires and hurricanes. In an ideal world, we could stop the effects global warming today. But even when we make big improvements, our generation's actions will impact wildlife for the next century and beyond. We must do our best to help them cope with a changed planet. So the Enviroment and the Wildlife will be a well-done place for animals and humans. Also the population growth affects our environment in many ways. The current global population growth rate outpaces even our best efforts to reduce carbon emmissions. That's what I think ways to help not just the enviroment but also help the Wildlife.

Dream me a nightmare

Hello, my name is True Phan and lately I've been having dreams, not just any dreams nightmares to be exact. I woke up this morning the sun shining into my chest-nut eyes. I went into the bathroom quickly. I got into the shower and got out 30 minutes earlier than intended to get out. I started brushing my brunette colored hair. I had no school today. I got my yellow-colored dress with purple polka-dots and straightened the end of it. I grabbed my bag and left. I meant my friend Josh Li. He was in the dojo (it's a place where you learn martial arts and you fight in there) practicing with his "master". I knocked on the door. I said "good morning" I dropped my bags and changed into a martial arts costume. I started training. After 3 hours. I waved my hand to bid goodbye. When I was walking out at 6:00 p.m I looked into the sunset. It was beautiful. I sat under a tree to enjoy the scenery. After a while I dozed off...

In her dream....

I looked around at my surroundings, I was in a gloomy room. There was a torch hanging from the ceiling. I looked at my watch it was ticking 20 minutes 'till midnight. I was walking down a hall I grabbed the torch. Then I felt something pass me it made me shiver. I turned around quickly but nothing was there. Then I felt something tickle my ear. I turned around again but nothing was there. But for some reason I had urge to turn around and start running the other way. But I turned and saw a young lady she was beautiful. But something told me to run run ad fast as I can. She was walking toward me, I couldn't run it was like hands were holding my feet. I looked down green hands, with long sharp nails, and black dirt underneath it. I was shivering badly. I looked up but my legs started wobbling. I felt the long sharp nails piercing into my skin droplets of blood dripping down my feet. I winced from the pain. I fell down onto my hands. The girl in front of me smiled pleasantly. She took out a dagger it was dripping with black blood? She came after me, she took the dagger and stabbed it on my forehead lightly. Blood started rushing down my forehead. She then was going toward my heart, she was swinged the dag...

Dream over.......

I woke up I was still under the tree I touched my forehead and droplets of blood was still pouring. I touched my ankles and it was bruised and there was small holes form the nails that pierced into my ankles. Then I saw her in front of me. I was too shocked to say anything. I closed my eyes and when I opened them she was gone. But what was floating in the air was a black butterfly. She looked into the sky. The sunset had already gone away, it was pitch-black. None of the lights were on I wondered why. I started walking I was pacing myself every couple steps. I had a feeling not to go home but I still wanted to go I wanted to see Josh again for some reason i really wanted to see him. Like misfortunate was going to happen. Then my head started hurting it was throbbing. Then i saw a faint picture of Josh. Someone no, something was coming after him. He was screaming something but I couldn't hear him. Then I saw the thing hit him in the chest. Blood splattered all over the walls. Then I came back into reality. I rushed to the dojo where he probably was. I opened the door roughly but nobody was there. I sighed from relief. Until i heard a scream coming from his room. I ran to the door but it was locked. I kicked the door but it wouldn't budge. I kicked it one more time and it flew open. I looked at the time it was 2:00 a.m I quickly ran into the room he was on the floor holding his chest. I ran to him. But he screamed "NO!" I backed up he was forming into something I couldn't explain. He was huge, with skinny but long legs, with claws bigger than my head, his nails was sharper than knives. He told me to run but I couldn't I ran into the corner of the room and threw up his stench was horrible. It smelled like a dead corpse. I looked into his eyes they weren't bright yellow green anymore but it was black and deepening. It wasn't him anymore. I tried run away. But he striked me on the chest. I couldn't feel anything anymore I wanted everything to go away. I was going to die from loss of blood. I can't believe this is the way I'm going to die even my pride is gone! I got up but I was wobbly. He was coming after me again but I was quick and I dodged him. But from the dodge the result of it is that my wound opened bigger and I rammed my body into the wall. HE came after me faster then before btu form my training in the dojo. I cked my leg up and it flew into the air. It got back up quickly an it seemed I didn't hurt him at all. Then it slashed me from the back and I saw nothing.
